My review of the book Never, Never by James Patterson
Hello again! Warning: Spoilers ahead! The book review I will be doing today is of the book Never, Never by James Patterson. At the beginning of the book we learn that three young girls have been murdered and put on the banks of the Georges river. We also meet our main character, Harriet Blue she works for the Sydney police department. Blue wants to be on the Georges river killings but the task force keeps denying her. The reason they won't let her on the case because the suspect for the three murders is Harriet's brother, Samuel Blue. Harriet finds out and is sent to a mining camp in the dessert, to get away from the press. Harriet and her partner, Edward Whittaker, are on a missing persons case. People keep going missing and leave no trace. All personal belongings are taken by fellow miners. Soon enough Harry is also kidnapped, she enters a dark tunnel and is shot at then dragged to a deep hole, but this time she survives. She reports to the nearest police station and are put down the hole, where she finds the bodies of all but one of the miners. Harry and Whitt go into the dessert and get shot at. Harry finds that the camp overseer was killing off people like a video game. Harry goes back to Sydney and finds out more about the Georges River killings and why her brother is suspected. I give this book a 5 out of 5 rating.
